Many Voices: Mechanics Hall Youth Singers is an all-city choir founded in 2022. MVYS invites Worcester’s children to enjoy this unique singing experience on stage at one of the nation’s most renowned concert halls. Open to 4th through 7th graders from every Worcester neighborhood, this non-traditional, non-auditioned chorus gives children the opportunity to practice and perform in Mechanics Hall - their very own “home” concert hall. Under professional direction, children learn to sing a variety of music, build friendships, and work toward excellence - together and in harmony!

What Many Voices Offers Worcester Youth

MVYS allows every interested 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students living in or attending school in Worcester to:

• Participate in a musical program that cultivates deep and meaningful experiences of cross-cultural friendships, harmonization, teamwork, and a taste of excellence
• Build a singing practice, try new things, and improve their skills
• Perform for public audiences and for each other, with and without instrumental accompaniment
• Experience Worcester's renowned Mechanics Hall as their own concert hall
• Learn from and perform with collegiate and adult choral singers and instrumentalists

Please note that children must attend a rehearsal to sing in a concert.
